Pilots are advised that only 'Approved' aircraft will be permitted to take-off/land at City Airport due to the steep nature of terrain, glide path and obstacles. Examples of approved aircraft are E170/190/E2 series / A220 (BCS1/BCS3) / ATR45 / ATR75(6). Further private approved jets: https://privatejetcentre.londoncityairport.com/services/approved-aircraft Aircraft not meeting the approved specification will be refused a clearance and diverted to an appropriate alternate airport. If flying a divisional tour / world tour leg, you must also comply with that specific rule "must be an appropriate aircraft". Aircraft not meeting these criteria will be denied clearance and diverted. This also applies to divisional and world tour legs — aircraft must be suitable for EGLC.
